The second race of the Rotax max Challenge 2014 took place on the modified French kart track in Mirecourt. The Rotax pilots showed exciting races in all of the different categories, some of them with very close results.
The 1.25 km long kart track of Mirecourt, located between Mulhouse (F) and Strasbourg (F) is relatively far away from Switzerland. The drivers are rewarded with an attractive track with a modified lay-out (long straight without the chicane),which provides the best conditions for exciting races. This also proofed to be the case during the second heat of the Rotax Max Challenge 2104. We were able to run the event in dry, relatively windy summer like conditions with 25°C.
In the category Junior, Sascha Fenestraz won the qualifying. Afterwards, Yannik Brandt from Team Spirit Racing, who had already won the race in Wohlen influenced the next races strongly. Starting from P3 after the qualifying he won both pre-heats and he celebrated his second victory in the final.
