Yannik Brandt: „Lausitzring is going to be really special.“

Yannik Brandt had to wait for his next start in the ADAC Formula 4 for more than four weeks. Next weekend he is going to start on the Lausitzring. The race in Brandenburg is going to be the season highlight, the new blood racing series is going to start within the framework of the ADAC GT Masters and the German Touring Car Masters (DTM).

After Oschersleben and the Sachsenring, the ADAC Formula 4 team is going to travel to Brandenburg. The 3,442km long Lausitzring awaits the participants of the new blood racing series for the third race of the season. Another premiere in Yannik’s rookie season. “I’ve had a couple of test days on the track. These went really promising and I’m looking forward to the race now. My clear goal is the direct qualification for the three ranked races again and further points in the rookie ranking”, said the 15-year-old confidently.

The event in the Lausitz is one of the big highlights of the year. For the first time since 2008, the two most popular German automobile racing series ADAC GT Masters and German Touring Car Masters (DTM) are happening on the same weekend again. At the motorsport festival on the Lausitzring, fans are going to get their money’s worth and can experience tomorrow’s stars in the framework program. “This is going to be a really special racing weekend. I’m really excited to start in front of such a huge setting. The DTM is really popular and is going to attract lots of fans to the race track”, reported Yannik.

The new blood racing series of the second biggest automobile club in the world is going to be accompanied by the German sports channel SPORT1 again. All races are going to be broadcast live on SPORT1 and SPORT1+.
