With full speed to the Nürburgring

Audi Sport TT Cup starts into second round

Next weekend (May 25th – 27th) the second event of the Audi Sport TT Cup awaits Yannik Brandt. Within the framework of the 24h race on the Nürburgring the young drivers of the brand cup are going to start as well. After his strong debut the German-Swiss still has big goals.

The 16-year-old race driver couldn’t have started into the 2017 season any better. At his premiere at the Audi Sport TT Cup in Hockenheim he achieved pole position and finished the first race on third place. He’s now looking forward to his performance on the Nürburgring accordingly motivated: “The kick-off was a highlight already and I’d like things to continue like this. I now want to tie in with this and end up on the podium again.”

The backdrop could not be any bigger. The youngsters of the Audi brand cup are going to start within the framework of the traditional 24h race on the Nürburgring. The first fans have been camping at the track since Monday. More than 200.000 thrilled motorsports fans are expected in the Eifel again this weekend. “It’s going to be really special. The 24h race is the biggest race in the world”, Yannik continues.

While the participants of the long-distance classic are going to start at the legendary Nordschleife, the Audi Sport TT Cup is going to take place on the 4,638km long Grand Prix track. Yannik already knows the track from last year: “I felt very comfortable on the track at the Formula 4, why should that be any different now with the Audi TT?”

Free training and qualifying are already going to take place on Thursday. The races are going to start on Friday from 11:55am and on Saturday shortly before the big 24h race at 9:55am. Both races can be viewed live via online-stream at www.audi.com again. Additionally there is going to be a summary of the racing events on the German sports channel Sport1.
